Honolulu is the gateway to the majority of travelers visiting Hawaii. Flights from all over the world arrive at Honolulu International Airport which is located just 5 miles (8kms) from downtown Honolulu.

American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United and US Airways / America West.

Airlines from Canada:
Air Canada and WestJet.

Airlines from Asia:
China Airlines, All Nippon Airways / Air Japan, Japan Airlines, Korean Air and Philippines Airlines.

Air New Zealand, Air Pacific, Jetstar and Qantas.

Inter-island air travel is provided by Hawaiian Air, Island Air, Pacific Wings, Mokulele Airlines and Go.

All persons arriving on International flights must first clear Customs and Border Protection inspection before exiting the airport.

Free Wiki-Wiki shuttle buses operate between the Honolulu Airport Terminal and the Interisland Terminal every 15 minutes.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to your accommodation can take the form of the Airport Waikiki Express (operated by Roberts Hawaii), car rental companies (see below), pre-arranged ground transportation (hotel shuttle bus) and taxi cabs. TheBus (Honolulu public bus transport) operates routes #19 and #20 between the airport and Waikiki.

On Airport (desk in the airport terminal) car rental companies include Avis Rent-A-Car, Budget Rent-A-Car, Dollar-Rent-A-Car, Hertz Rent-A-Car, and National Rent-A-Car.

Off Airport (no desk in the airport terminal) car rental companies include: Alamo Rent-A-Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, JN Car & Truck Rentals, Thrifty Rent-A-Car and Tradewinds U-Drive.
